About NSTC

Find information about the BP Induction Training here.

Created in 1997, The North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) develops and maintains high quality, standardized health, safety, and environmental training programs for employees at industrial sites on the North Slope and throughout Alaska.

APICC provides the day-to-day management of the NSTC through an agreement with North Slope producers. We maintain training materials, provide instructor training and qualification, and ensure the quality of third-party providers. APICC also maintains a ready inventory of safety manuals for purchase, including the Alaska Safety Handbook, BP Alaska Safety Handbook, and the Environmental Field Handbook.

Employees who seek more information on NSTC Training are invited to visit the NSTC WEBSITE.

APICC and NSTC license the following members as third-party providers.

Third Party Providers, who are licensed to teach NSTC courses for profit, are available in Anchorage, Palmer, Fairbanks, Kenai, Soldotna, and Barrow.

They can be contracted for a crew-specific course anywhere in or out of the state. The providers have an established training calendar and fee schedule and classes are open to any person needing the training. Each provider will issue the NSTC Card for the training completed.

All NSTC authorized providers are licensed by the North Slope Training Cooperative. All providers set their own training schedules and pricing for NSTC courses.

NSTC does not advocate for one provider over another for any reason. Below is an alphabetized list of the current third party providers in the state of Alaska. In addition, many of the companies listed below offer training in various locations around the state.
